LINCOLN, Neb. – The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union (University of Nebraska FCU) announced today that they will expand service in Kearney with a new, full-service branch located at 208 W 29th Street, Ste. C. The facility is expected to open this summer.
Cheryl Montgomery, a resident of Kearney since 1976, will serve as branch manager. Montgomery is well known in the community and offers 20 years of experience in the credit union industry. She currently manages the credit union’s Lending Center in Kearney.
“Convenience for our members is important to us. We know we have members in Kearney who need a full-service branch,” said Keith Kauffeld, University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union’s president and CEO. “We’re excited to expand to be able to better meet the needs of the Kearney community and the needs of the staff, faculty, students and alumni of the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
“We’ve had so many of our members express the need for cash services to use the credit union as their primary financial institution,” said Montgomery. “I know when we open the doors to our new Kearney branch this summer we will be greeted with lots of smiles. I’m looking forward to helping our members save time and money, now with full access to our personal service and all of the wonderful products and services we have at the credit union.”
University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1937 to serve the faculty members of the University of Nebraska.
