South Dakota’s corn crop condition dropped more than 20 percentage points in the “good” category in the past week. Now, just 43% of corn is rated good with 39% in fair shape and 15% poor.

Nearly 100% of soybeans were planted as of Sunday, the USDA NASS office says, ahead of last year and the average. 85% is in fair to good condition.

Sixty-seven percent of spring wheat is in fair to good shape.
