The UNK track & field team has qualified three men and two women for the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships.

Distance runners Morgan Benesch and Cole Wellnitz will be looking for their first outdoor All-American honors. Both have cracked the top eight at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Junior high jumper Emily Everitt is a two-time indoor All-American, while junior vaulter Bailey Stapleman, and sophomore thrower Jacob Bartling are both making thier first appearance at the national meet (indoor or outdoor). The three-day meet starts Thursday, May 25th, in Bradenton, Florida. A top eight finish is good for All-American honors; finishers nine through 12 are tabbed second-team All-Americans by the USTFCCA (U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Assoc.).
