Kearney, Neb (KGFW) – The City of Kearney still working to get as much done to its streets before the weather forces them to come to a standstill.

The City of Kearney Utilities Department announce that the south bound lanes of 2nd Avenue between 33rd Street and 31st Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic in the inside lane beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
Access between 2nd Avenue and 32nd Street will also be closed at this time. A water main repair will be made in the outside lane of 2nd Avenue. All lanes of 2nd Avenue and access between 32nd Street will be reopened to traffic at 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 2017 weather permitting.
Motorists are asked to use caution in the area and to watch for construction workers and equipment. If an alternate route is possible we recommend that motorists use the alternate route.
