Lincoln, Neb (KGFW) – Farmers and Ranchers will be receiving ballots soon. The ballots for the USDA County Committee elections will be sent out on Monday, Nov 6th to all eligible farmers and ranchers.
County Committee members help the Farm Service Agency make decisions on conservation programs, commodity support, emergency programs and more. The Committee members each serve a three-year term. There is always one-third of the positions up for election each year.
This year ballots are due back to the FSA office on December 4th (either in person or postmarked). The newly elected members will take office on January 1st, 2018.
