North Platte traffic stop leads to arrest

North Platte, Neb (KGFW) – Three men are in custody after officers from the Nebraska State Patrol found illicit materials in their car during a traffic stop.

 

The stop happened Sunday afternoon near North Platte on I-80. Nebraska state patrol pulled over the black SUV for speeding when one of the troopers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

 

After a search turned up a stolen handgun, 47 ID cards, 81 credit cards and six social security cards NSP took the three men into custody on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of stolen ids and other charges. They were lodged in Lincoln County jail.

 

The three men were identified as 25-year-old Juan Souza, 19-year-old Montague Jackson, and 32-year-old Brandon Davis. All three men were from Florida
