BREAKING: Lockdown in GI schools

Grand Island, Neb (KGFW) – At 12:45 on December 5th the Grand Island police department was notified of a potential threat that affected both Grand Island Northwest and Grand Island Senior high school.

Both of the schools went immediately into lockdown as officers responded to the report.

The lockdown was lifted about 45 minutes later according to officials from the Grand Island Police Department.

The cause of the lockdown is still under investigation. Authorities are still investigating and deciding if any criminal charges will be filed.
