KGFW Sports – Huskers Add Another LB, Jays Add a Canadian and More

Seth Malcom, a three-star linebacker who competes in eight-man football in Iowa, has announced his commitment to the Huskers. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound Malcom announced his pledge on Twitter, picking Nebraska over offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Boise State, Minnesota and others. His commitment gives the Huskers four linebackers in the 2021 class. Nebraska has nine total commitments for the 2021 recruiting cycle.

Henry Gray announced his tranfer destination this weekend, Florida International. Gray was the Cornhuskers fifth-highest ranked signee in the Class of 2020. He arrived in Lincoln back in January as an early enrollee and went through winter conditioning before being sent back home due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In other Big Ten news; Iowa has placed strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle on administrative leave after several former Hawkeyes spoke out about negative experiences they and other black players had while under his supervision.

The Creighton men’s basketball team has received a commitment from a key recruit. Point guard Ryan Nembhard of Canada announced he has committed to the Jays. He is the 89th ranked player overall 2021 recruiting class according to 247 sports. Nembhard picked Creighton over Ohio State, Florida, and Stanford.
