The University of Nebraska Kearney athletic programs will be celebrating Homecoming with several Blue/Gold Scrimmages this weekend. The Loper volleyball team will hold the first of several instrasquad scrimmages Friday. Using a triangular format, matches are set for 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The schedule for the 2021 spring season, which will feature an MIAA Tournament, will be announced in the coming weeks by the league office. The Loper football team will hold their Blue/Gold Scrimmage at UNK’s Ron and Carol Cope Stadium at Foster Field Saturday at 3:00. The UNK women’s soccer team will not be in action this weekend as they have moved their “Blue-Gold” game to Oct. 24.
