KGFW Sports – No.1 Recruiting Class for NU Volleyball and other NLI Day News

According to prepvolleyball.com the Nebraska Volleyball team has signed the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation. All six Husker signees are ranked in the top 70 nationally… and includes five of the top 16, four of the top 10 and all of the top three recruits. The class also includes three Nebraska natives, 6′-4″ middle blocker Rylee Gray from Elkhorn, 6′-3″ outside hitter Lindsay Krause from Omaha Skutt, and 6′-1″ outside hitter Whitney Lauenstein from Waverly.

The Nebraska volleyball team will be holding a Red-White Scrimmage tonight at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The scrimmage will be streamed live on Huskers.com, Twitter (@Huskers) and Facebook (/Huskers).

The Nebraska men’s basketball team added two players on National Letter of Intent Signing Day. The list includes Wilhelm Breidenbach, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound forward from Santa Ana, California. The No. 10 center nationally by ESPN, he averaged 11.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game last season. The Huskers also signed 6′-2″ shooting guard Keisei Tominga, who has been nicknamed the Japanese Steph Curry. Tominga averaged 16.8 points per game and shot over 47 percent from three point range last season at Ranger College in Texas.

The Nebraska women’s basketball team has signed a five player class that included two ESPN Top 100 recruits. In fact, four of the five have been ranked among the top 100 in the country by at least one ranking service, and all five have been mentioned among the top 275. The list of recruits includes the 49th ranked player in the nation Kendall Coley, a 6′-2″ forward from Minneapolis, the 80th ranked player 5′-10″ Allison Weidner of Humphey St Francis and 6′-3″ Lincoln native Alexis Markowski. The Huskers’ recruiting class ranks 21st nationally according to ESPN.

– A shoulder injury has reportedly ended the season of former Husker receiver JD Spielman at TCU.
– 2022 prospect Ernest Hausmann, a 6′-3″ 205-pound outside linebacker from Columbus, has received an offer from Nebraska.
