The Nebraska men’s basketball team defeated the University of South Dakota, 76-69 last night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Huskers were led by junior Teddy Allen who finished with a team high 23-points. Now 3-1 on the season the Husker men return to action Sunday afternoon when they host Florida A&M. Tipoff is at 1:00.

The Creighton men’s basketball team beat Omaha 94-67 last night. The 9th ranked Jays host Kennesaw State on Friday.

Nebraska coordinators Matt Lubick and Erik Chinander met with members of the media following practice Tuesday to discuss the team’s preparation for Purdue this weekend. Lubick said he expects both quarterbacks to play against Purdue, but he isn’t revealing specifics. Chinander said he liked the way the defense bounced back last week at Iowa following the loss to Illinois. He said “it shows that the program is moving in the right direction.” The Huskers and Boilermakers are set to kickoff Saturday morning at 11:00.
