The Nebraska football team added 19 scholarship-players, and 11 walk-ons during “National Letter of Intent Signing Day.” The list includes three 4-star recruits: tight end Thomas Findone, outside linebacker Randolph Kpai and offensive lineman Teddy Prochazka from Elkhorn South. Prochazka was one of five Nebraskans to sign with the Huskers Wednesday. That list also includes Kearney Catholic quarterback Heinrich Haarberg.

The highest-rated Nebraskan in the 2021 recruiting cycle did not put “pen to paper” Wednesday. Omaha Westside 4-star cornerback Avante Dickerson, who committed to Minnesota back in April, said he needs more time to think. He can now go all the way to the traditional signing day in February before making his decision and signing with a team then.

Seven Husker defenders received all-conference recognition Wednesday. That group was led by junior cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt earned second-team All-Big Ten honors from the Coaches, while being an honorable-mention choice by the media. Defensive lineman Ben Stille, linebackers Will Honas and JoJo Domann, and safeties Marquel Dismuke and Deontai Williams received honorable-mention recognition from both voting panels, while senior cornerback Dicaprio Bootle was chosen by the media panel. The Big Ten special teams honors will be revealed today.

The Huskers close the regular season at Rutgers Friday. The Huskers and Scarlet Knights are set to kickoff Friday night at 6:30.

The Nebraska men’s basketball team will host Doane University tonight at 6:00. This replaces the Dec. 6th game against Florida A&M which was cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.
