The 5th ranked Nebraska volleyball team is hosting Northwestern this weekend. The Huskers opened their season last weekend with a pair of straight-set victories at Indiana. The Wildcats did the same, taking two from Rutgers last weekend. The Huskers and Wildcats will face each other both tonight, and tomorrow night, at 6:00.

The Nebraska women’s basketball team cruised past the Wisconsin Badgers, 84-68, last night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Husker women are now off until next Thursday with a road game at Penn State.
The 17th ranked Creighton men’s basketball team travels to Chicago tomorrow for a game against Depaul. Tipoff will be at 6:00.
The 4th ranked UNK women’s basketball team suffered their first loss of the season last night, falling at home to Fort Hays State 61-49. The UNK men and women will travel to Kansas tomorrow for games against Hays.
The 2nd ranked UNK wrestlers crushed Central Missouri last night at Cushing Coliseum, 49-6. The Loper wrestlers are now off until next weekend when they hit the road for duals against Newman and Central Oklahoma.
UNK head football coach Josh Lynn released the names of four mid-year transfers who are on campus and will go through winter and spring workouts with the Lopers. That list includes running back Miko Maessner (Kearney H.S.). Lynn expects to add a few more transfers prior to fall camp starting in August.
The Tri-City Storm open a three game series with the Omaha Lancers tonight at the Viaero Center. The puck drops at 7:05.
