Associate News Director – KGFW AM/FM
NRG Media is hiring. We have an immediate opening for an Associate News Director for our heritage News/Talk station, KGFW-AM & FM in Kearney, Nebraska. Our Central Nebraska cluster (Grand Island, Kearney, & Hastings metro) also includes the market’s (#240) top four rated FM stations. KGFW super-serves a 33,000+ community with a very active Division II university – so we’re looking for someone with a passion for LOCAL coverage.
As our primary reporter, you’ll attend local government meetings and write and publish articles for both on-air and digital distribution. In addition, you’ll co-host our daily two-hour “Talk of the Town” program, one-hour “Breakfast Flakes” show, anchor short afternoon newscasts, and interact with local, state, and national leaders. We train. WE HAVE FUN!
